Black & White Event Management
Over 35 Years of Entertainment Experience
Black & White Event Management provides professional mobile disco and entertainment services for weddings, parties, corporate events and special occasions throughout South Wales and beyond.
But the story actually began a long way from home…
Matthew joined the Royal Air Force in 1986 as a Communications Specialist, serving at RAF Brize Norton before being posted to RAF Gütersloh in Germany in 1990. Alongside his military duties, he became involved with the station entertainment team, helping to organise events and entertainment for personnel and their families.
When an additional DJ was needed for RAF Gütersloh’s nightclub, Matthew volunteered. What started as an opportunity to get involved soon became a passion, and he went on to DJ at the club for almost three years.
After returning to the UK and eventually leaving the RAF in 1995, the decks came back out. Starting with a modest setup and building the business one booking at a time, Matthew developed what became a full professional mobile entertainment service.
Experience Meets Modern Technology
More than 30 years later, Matthew has DJ’d at thousands of weddings, parties and corporate events. While the technology has changed enormously, the aim hasn’t: great music, a great atmosphere and guests enjoying themselves.
Gone are the boxes of vinyl and CDs. Today’s setup uses professional digital DJ equipment, modern sound systems and computer-controlled lighting, backed by an extensive music library covering everything from old favourites to the latest releases.
Our services have also grown beyond the traditional mobile disco. Alongside Karaoke, Smartphone Quiz Night and Horse Race Nights, we can also arrange additional entertainment and event extras including Photo Booths, Starlit Dance Floors, LOVE letters and much more through our network of trusted suppliers.
Through many years in the entertainment industry, we’ve also built relationships with a trusted network of entertainers and event suppliers. If your celebration needs something extra, from singers and bands to magicians, décor or specialist entertainment, there’s a good chance we can help arrange it.
